Anyone know any good websites or travel companies to get a good deal to paris?
I’m planning my honeymoon, which is in march of next year, and we’re thinking about paris. I need a good deal on the flights and the room. An all inclusive deal would be great. Anyone have any advice?

Answer by Rillifane
While there are package tours to Paris you will do MUCH better on your own.

March is a good time to travel. Airfares are low. (not as low as winter but still reasonable.) I don’t know where you live but I travel to Paris almost every year and live in rural Texas. I have never paid more than $ 560 RT. If you keep good watch on the major travel booking sites like Travelocity and Orbitz starting 3 months before your desired departure date you should be able to snag a decent ticket price.

I suggest the Hotel St. Andre des Artes at 66 rue St. Andre des Artes. Its simple and funky (no elevator, no minibars, no TV) but clean and very friendly. Mainly its cheap and well located. A double will cost just 86 euros for a double with breakfast included.

If you want to upscale the hotel then the The Hotel Left Bank Saint Germain at 9, rue de l’Ancienne Comédie in the 6th arr. is a good choice.(its just around the corner from the first hotel choice) A description with pictures can be found here: http://www.france-hotel-guide.com/h75006left_bank.htm

It will run 130-150 euros or so a night. (still not bad by Paris standards).

Answer by FAQguy
Depends where you are flying from, you could also get a cheap flight to London and jump on the London to Paris Eurostar train which is now only 2 hours away, only costs about £50 so might be a good option for your honeymoon as you could spend a weekend also in London.

Answer by balooby
I have a little travel blog that may help you. Use the Kayak search on the right side of the blog. You will find the cheapest airfare from there.

There is some info on the blog about getting good hotels in Europe. Under my Paris post I also give you a few hotels I know are good.

http://besttravelsearch.blogspot.com

Answer by ebuythismobile1
good deals

Answer by Bernard B
once you are in europe you can get around for cheap Study this site www.ryanair.com (english flag for english!!!!!) you get everything you need but remenber you are not the only one to travel on a budget, get your act organized in advance….. trust me all prices are trustfully…
Why so sheap: the airports are not all near the connecting cities, therefor check it out before you travel… good honeymoon

What’s the deal with non-travel days off in the post season?
I am just curious if anyone has a rock solid reason the MLB decided to have a day off in between two games in the same stadium? It just doesn’t make sense, take out all these extra days you might be able to get the world series over at a reasonable time of year.

Answer by Lefty
I don’t like it either. Seems like the World Series is destined to be played in November just as the Super Bowl is now played in February.

Answer by Mr. T
TV revenue!!! They want more prime-time televised playoff games.

Answer by creggz12
They do it so that if both series go 7 games then there is at least 1 game every single day until the series’ are over. If both series went 7 it would have worked out like that but i agree its very dumb.

Answer by GF4L™ IS a SHARKS Fan! (TL CY)
I hate it, its stupid

The same thing with the Super Bowl

Answer by beamon5
It’s for the TV schedule.

Where to get the best deal on Travel? Agents?
Traveling from southern ca to kauai on honeymoon, where do you think we can get the best deal? On our own or by using a travel agent? Which agents would you recommend i.e. Amex etc.?

Answer by alig
If you want to do a package vaca, a travel agent is definitely the way to go. If not, it is less expensive to do it on your own, but more a headache. AAA is what I use when I need a travel agent. There should be an office somewhere around you.

Answer by Handyfellers
Definitely not on your own!!! There is a wonderful award winning service aka Gulliver’s World Travel Data Bank Service. They specialize in the best deals on Honeymoon Packages. Check them out at the link referenced below:

Answer by dave b
go to the AAA ask about the PLEASANT HOLIDAYS package plans. used it 2 times for trips to Hawaii, saved a lot of $ $ $ $

Answer by miekogecko
I’m an avid traveler and money is sometimes tight so I’m always on the lookout for the best deals. My recommendation is to look at all options before selecting one. Some places will allow you to have a reservation and has no fee if you cancel.

For best flight deals, I often use Internet services like Yahoo Travel, Cheap Tickets, etc. to check the cost for flights. Certain Internet sites will allow you to check days around the dates for cheaper flights. Once you find a flight you like, I would recommend that you go directly to the airline’s site and check those flights. Sometimes airline sites can be about $ 100 less than Internet travel agents and they don’t charge a service fee. Sometimes it’s cheaper to book from Monday through Thursday since rates sometimes go up on the weekend.

For hotels and car, I would recommend you to do the same. Sometimes the Internet Travel agents can be cheaper and sometimes the hotel’s/car rental’s website. Since you are on your honeymoon, check with some hotels…sometimes they have specials for honeymooners.

After check with travel agents. I hear of Amex and AAA a lot but I never used them. I sometimes find they more expensive than if you plan it alone. Do some research. It doesn’t take long but you can save a lot of money which you can spend on your vacation. Have fun!

Top 10 SPM Verses (in my opinion, with too many to choose from) Not including his newest albums When Devil Strikes or Last Chair Violinist Dope sells itself!! FREE SPM!!! Whats your top 10? (I actually have 11 on here, there was a tie for 10th) Originating in the Southern rap mecca Houston, South Park Mexican (SPM) slowly built up his own personally run record label, Dope House Records, for years before eventually signing a distribution deal with Universal Records. With the promising deal in place, SPM stood on the verge of extending his reach outside of the South and becoming one of the first Mexican-American rappers to attain national success. He unfortunately never fulfilled his promise. First, his releases for Universal failed to top the charts during the early 2000s, and then he went to prison in June 2002 after a Houston jury convicted him of sexually assault. Before he became South Park Mexican, Carlos Coy spent years in the dope game. Born in Houston’s predominantly Hispanic South Park neighborhood, Coy scored his first felony at the tender age of ten and continued on a path of crime, eventually getting involved with drugs by his teens. After several years of hustling on the streets, he finally got out of the dope game after a deal went bad. Around the same time, his daughter was born, causing him to re-examine his priorities. It was at this time in 1994 that Coy turned to a new hustle — the rap game. Even though he had never really rapped much before in his life …

Describe how to deal with passengers who are unfit or incapable of air travel??

Answer by mel s
I am unsure of the question. If you mean an alternative to air travel, I recommend the train.

If you travel with a great deal of cash on your person, what is the best way to carry it?
In a way to prevent it from getting lost or stolen.

Thanks.

Answer by Tina Marie
i think the best way is to store it in different places. for example put some in your wallet, some in your pocket, even put some in your sock. but most likely carrying all of it in your wallet will be just fine if that’s what you prefer, given that you don’t loose your wallet.

Answer by A V
In your socks, on top of your foot. If you put it underneath your foot (on the sole) it may start to hurt after a while.
You might also want to try a money belt.

Answer by pammy3663
You can buy something from most airports. It looks like a thin fanny pack, you wear it in the front (belly) underneath your jeans. I used one and it worked great, no one was the wiser. I would keep small amounts in my wallet and when I needed to top it up I would go to the bathroom and fill it up in the privacy of the bathroom.

Where do you get the best last minute travel deals?
I LOVE to grab my backpack and travel! I have some discretionary income and lots of free time and flexibility in my schedule.

Where are the best places to search if you want to go somewhere soon for a great price?

It seems like most “last minute deals” aren’t much of a deal, and that others are simply advertising scams.

Thanks!

Answer by nomadgirl1
I like site59.com. It lets you create your package (air, car, hotel – all three, just two, etc) and they have packages for the upcoming weekend and the weekend following.

They also have a link for trips under $ 250.

Answer by aatcheaptravel
try www.aatcheaptravel.com
you can find awsome deals, you sound like perfect for be in the travel business, I’m a travel Agent and I receive perks all the time, I travel like a Queen.
And I save a lots of money.
Visit my web site just in case!!!!
Be free to email at:
aatcheaptravel@yahoo.com

Answer by southrntrnzplnt
Last minute deals are scams for the most part, it draws you in thinking you are getting a good deal, when really you are not. The further out you book the more chances of getting a cheaper fare are. In the airline industry the discount fares sell first. The closer to departure, the more expensive it gets.

Cruises Ive seen with good last minute deals just to fill up the cabins and some hotels, but for the most part its just the opposite.

The only way it works to just pack and go is really to work in the industry. The airline I worked for allowed their employee’s to fly for free, plus we got the deals on cruises, all inclusive resorts etc at last minute prices just to fill up space.

Its the last minute people that make the money for the industry. Not planning ahead gives the companies a heads up because most times its an urgent matter and the person is willing to almost pay whatever it takes to get to where they need to be.

If your schedule is flexible, then try to plan ahead. Being spontaneous in the travel industry and wanting it cheap dont mix. Now that airlines no longer offer stand-by travel its hard to just grab and go unless you just jump in your car and hit the road.

Try traveling mid-week. Weekends are only cheaper for car rentals. Summer is cheaper than fall of course, but just shop around. Sign up for Travel Zoo. They send a weekly e-mailer about what deals are out there. Try to fly out of a hub like Atlanta, Philedelphia, Chicago, DFW…etc. Those are the airports that will have the biggest discounts. Little feeder’s like Buffalo, Augusta, Gainesville etc will not have the specials you are looking for.

Be careful booking on travel websites. They charge excessive fee’s and do not offer the best routes or connection times. Make sure you READ THE FARE RULES because they will lock you into the trip and you can not for any reason change your itinerary.

If you are someone who uses a credit card for business or pleasure, try to get a rewards program card and be loyal to a hotel chain or airline. You can redeem points earned for nearly free travel and get bonuses when you sign up. To redeem points you do again have to be flexible and book in advanced in most situations depending on the destination. If its a highly traveled route, book well in advance.

I have to travel between Miami and Los Angeles. Just one way in March. Can you tell me please which airline company can offer the best deal ? I’m not from US so any information can help. Thanks

Answer by Chrys
www.orbitz.com

www.delta.com

www.southwest.com

www.jetblue.com

www.google.com and look up some more sources..

Answer by Baby Duck
I recommend using www.cheaptickets.com for your source. They generally have the cheapest prices. Just a warning though, e-tickets are basically non-refundable, no matter what airline or website you use. Be sure of your dates of travel before you book. Otherwise you could lose $ 200 min. Also, book 14 days prior for the cheapest price. .

Answer by StephenWeinstein
American Airlines has many direct flights on that route. Other airlines may have slightly better fares, but usually require you to change planes.

Answer by Good Looking Frat Boy
soutwest dude

I always fly with southwest cause its cheap and good quality, they allow you to choose your own seats

Discount Summer Vacations – How Easy is it to find a Discount Travel Deal?

Answer by Zula
Not very hard. You can check this link:

Answer by Car Day
The Internet makes it easy but you need to do some basic research to find the right mix of price and quality.

Most discount vacations are custom-planned through vacation packages, resort deals, online coupons and price reductions.

Disneyland is one of the most popular summer destinations for which you can find discount deals. They are available worldwide.

How do boxers with strict diets and workouts schedules deal with overseas travel just before a match?
Considering:

1) Some flights plus layovers can last for over 24 hours.

2) You cannot take your own food and drink on the plane.

3) You have to eat what the plane provides or don’t eat.

4) All you can do is sit.

Answer by [Absolute] Truth X
Well you’re not supposed to take flights just before a match. You should be at the venue’s vicinity at least two weeks from the fight. Actually, jet-lag is a very reasonable excuse for not performing well in a fight. As I’ve said in your previous question, there is always a home-court advantage in every sport, including boxing. Boxers who visit his opponent’s home turf are always at a disadvantage. It’s not just the jet-lag, it’s also the climate of the place. Boxers perform differently in different environments. Different places have different relative humidity, oxygen levels, atmospheric pressures, temperatures, and altitudes that can all affect a boxer’s performance. Boxer’s should get used to this before his match. Flying to an opponent’s home turf just a few days or worse just hours before a match is definitely detrimental.

Answer by lestermount
Normally if a fighter has to travel a long distance they will do so 2 weeks or earlier before the fight so they can train at the location rather than at the last minute or day.
You can take your own food on a plane and you can drink water.
You do not have to eat what the airlines provides and you can order special food before the flight, many people order vegetarian or religious meals.
You do not have to sit, I always get an aisle seat and get up and walk at least once each hour.

Can you get a better deal through a travel agent or Disney online?
We are driving to Orlando and want to book a value WDW hotel and WDW tickets for 5 days and 4 nights.

Answer by atlantagal
Call a travel agent, get a rate from them, write down the rate from Disney online, then I would also suggest going on Disney’s website finding their hotel number that you want to stay at and calling them and getting their lowest available rate. Then you can go with the cheapest rate. When calling a travel agent, you are never obligated to buy from them when you call.
PS-when calling the travel agent, be sure to get the persons name and direct extension number so you can call them back directly

Answer by tech_fanatic
98% or so of travel agencies are going to run the exact same price as Disney. There will be a few that have a fee for booking with them, but most do not. I’ve been using an agent that doesn’t charge anything and she does a much better job than the agent I had a few years ago that did charge.

Disney offers the same price as an agent, an agent does not run more or less. However, with an agent you get more service, if any promotions come out they will change your reservation to get you the discount etc.

My recommendation would be to go with a Disney specialized agent, they offer a lot of benefits to you and make the planning much easier, especially if this is a first visit. A few things my agent does:

1). Books all my dining
2). Books all my tours, as well as transfers and insurance
3). Gives recommendations, tips and ideas
4). Types everything up and gets everything in order before sending it on to me
5). Watches for codes and discounts
6). Sends a gift for my booking

This is just the beginning of what an agent can all do for you. I don’t know if you have ever booked with Disney before, but a lot of times I’ve found that Disney will add or take little things away, have little mistakes, etc. Also, if you book on your own you have to find out answers to questions on your own. Some things Disney is able to help with if you call them (but you do have to call and wait for an agent, etc.) or you have to search around online, get books, etc. The info may be outdated or incorrect and then you may have a problem.

If you were to price with Disney and then check with an agent, the price should be exactly the same. You may even find the agent is less, in some cases. However, the benefits and service you get is priceless and having ease of mind with your vacation makes things a lot easier for you.

I’ve been to Disney so many times that I’ve lost count now and I still use an agent just to avoid the stress and headache of booking on my own.

Have fun with your planning!

Answer by picks_pub
Call Disney direct at 1-407-WDISNEY. They are often as cheap or cheaper than the discount travel agents. They honor AAA discounts, although there are a limited number of AAA rooms available that book up quick, so make your reservations as soon as possible. I would recommend a Park Hopper pass when you get your tickets. This gives you the most flexibility to come and go throughout your stay. Have Fun!

Answer by L J
Being someone that usually books our trips myself, this year I decided to check with travel agents for prices, especially after reading answers here. Their prices were no different than what Disney quoted. Now it is up to me to call back and check on discounts instead of a travel agent, but that’s okay. I can make calls. Also, the Disney moderate and deluxe resorts have concierge in the lobby for guests, and there is also the deluxe resort club level concierge (a great splurge) where they take care of everything.
It’s all up to you and how much you want to do. If it’s your first trip, you might enjoy having someone on your side with knowledge.

Answer by k_reile
the disney travel agent I booked my sept trip with had the same exact price as the disney online site. They were really good…. their website is http://www.yourmagicaljourneys.com/

I used Terri-Sue…she got me the free dining promotion with the on site resort I wanted.

Can a travel agent get a better deal on a cruise than the internet sites?
I’ve found a specific cruise that I want and every single “discount” travel website offers the same exact fare $ 549.00 as the actual cruise ships website. This seems as though the discount websites aren’t discounts at all. So my question is, can I get a better price than carnival has on their site by going to a brick and mortar travel agent?
Also, we plan to cruise at the end of June or early July of 07

Answer by tech_fanatic
Not in every situation, but in many cases they can. Sometimes your rate is going to be the same price, but an agent may offer you some onboard credits, or other specials that may be available to them.

I would definitely book with an agent or directly with Carnival. The discount sites, which as you have seen aren’t really discounted, can cause a lot more problems than they are worth, so if there is no savings, I would definitely avoid them.

There are a lot of travel agencies that you can use online as well. If going to a travel agent office and working on things doesn’t really fit in your schedule, which is what I have found to be true for myself, online works so much better. I can e-mail my agent whenever I need, when I’m no the road, etc. I have actually found my online agent to be a lot o better than my old agent that in my local town, since they seem to be more specialized. So you may consider checking into an online travel agent, which is not to be confused with the online discount sites like Expedia, Oritz, etc.

So anyhow, you can’t always get a lower rate with an agent, but you may be able to get some extra benefits by booking with an agent, such as onboard credit or upgrades. Also, you always get the service from the agent, very rarely, if ever do I find that my agent is higher than Carnival.

Hope this helps!

What are some jobs that have to deal with government profit organization? Also allow you to be able to travel?
I’m struggling w/ my career choices here, I really need some help! I want to graduate and find a job that has to deal w/ government profit organization that allow you to be able to travel from place to place but I don’t know what the job call! As the matter of fact I don’t know what else that job would do other than helping people and help end the struggles. I really need somebody help!!!!

Answer by Puffadder
That’s a great question. You’d be perfect for the Guv’nint.

Answer by V.T.V.RAM
You can work on the marketing side of such organizations !!

I am looking to WOW corporate with a great price on travel mugs – for hot beverages.

Answer by pizzaman
travel mugs .com

LIVE THE DEAL launched at Copenhagen climate summit by green earth .travel with UNWTO for low carbon travel and tourism. Animated video featuring platinum disk star Alston Koch’s “We Can Take This Climate Change”

What’s it like to have a job that requires travel? Did you find it hard to deal with airports and cabs?
Did you ever have a job that requires you to travel?
If so – what was it like?

Did you find it stressful to keep dealing with airports, cabs, hotels, etc?
Was it a pain?

Answer by Shovel Ready
The hard part is time away from one’s family. It takes a big toll. I basically missed my kids growing up. Whenever there was a little league game or a school play, I was usually half-way around the world.

Answer by Gus
Three things I don’t like about air travel
The TSA screening … they couple arrogance with incompetence
The small airline seats … they pack us in like sardines
Rude passengers … Make that idiotic as in people who bring steamer trunks onto the plane and try to jam them into overhead bins

Answer by I Want My Party Back
Today’s airlines are basically buses with wings.

You really want a job where you have to take the bus all the time?

Answer by prekinpdx
I don’t mind it at all….in fact I like it. I do not find it a pain, but instead, fun.

Answer by The Taxpayer
When I was a young fellow; I kind of enjoyed it. As I got older…I hated it.
Not a great deal with cabs. I had to rent cars most of the time. Hotels were a non issue. Some were good; others not so good.
That product they have now…”go-to-meeting” (I’m not hawking it by any means) some of those guys making the commercials…boy do I ever read them loud and clear. A lot of unproductive time in the traveling. In short..it gets old pretty fast.

where can I get the best travel deal on summer trip to disneyworld in a disney owned hotel?

Answer by southrntrnzplnt
Summer is high travel season and many discounts may not be available during then. It depends on how many kids you have with you and what kind of ammenities you are wanting and how much you want to spend. The older hotels like the Contemporary will be cheaper. The resorts let you go to the parks early and stay later and offer head of the line passes as well as breakfast with the characters.

Be careful booking through a discount website like Travelocity, Hotwire, Priceline and Cheaptickets. These are very very restricted deals and you have more choices and flexibility if you book directly through Disney.

Answer by tech_fanatic
If you are wanting to go this summer, you aren’t going to find any good deals. First, they skipped a few months for specials this year. But, starting August 13 they are giving free dining. So, if you are able to go during that time, you will be able to get one of Disney’s best promotions.

The value resorts (All-Star Sports, Music and Movies and Pop Century) are going to be the least expensive. Moving up a little, you have the moderates, they are slightly more expensive, but offer a little larger room. Then, you have the deluxe and vacation club resorts to chooes from. These will jump quite a bit in price.

It really just depends on how many you will have in your party, ages, etc. You best option is to contact a travel agent. They will work with your budget and help you get the most for your money. They will also let you know if there are any promotions or anything you may be interested. A good travel agent, while they charge the exact same thing as booking through Disney directly, will be really helpful. Just avoid sites like Expedia, Orbitz, etc. these are not travel agencies and you may find you have a lot of problems with the booking. Plus, most of the sites don’t offer onsite Disney hotels, and if they do they charge the same price or more than you can get with Disney or a travel agent.

Answer by Katlyn <3 Disney
Your best bet is to just book with the Walt Disney World Resort, directly. If you book it at another site, they just book it with Walt Disney World for you, and then it’ll be more expensive because they have to make some money, too.

I suggest staying at Disney’s Polynesian Resort, if you can afford it. That’s where I always stay. It’s so beautiful and it’s one of WDW’s original Resorts, the other being the Contemporary Resort. It’s also a monorail Resort. You can get to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot easily by way of the monorail. Many rooms have gorgeous views of the Magic Kingdom. It’s so magical at night when it lights up different colors! And the Resort hosts the Spirit Of Aloha Dinner Show, formerly known as the Polynesian luau. It’s awesome!

As for the “free dining” TechFanatic speaks of… you have to book by June 4, and it’s only available August 13 thru September 30. And you have to book a certain package:

A 5-night/6-day vacation package including hotel and Theme Park tickets for $ 435 per adult and $ 175 per child.

It’s not a very good deal unless you absolutely can’t afford anything else and you want to go during the hottest, bussiest time of year.

Package includes:

Disney Resort Stay- Includes a standard room at a select Disney Value Resort. No group rates or other discounts apply.
Theme Park Tickets- Visit one of four Theme Parks each day of your ticket.
Disney Dining Plan- Choose from over 100 Walt Disney World restaurants.

This means you don’t have much of an option for Resorts. I love ALL of Disney, but the All-Star Resorts aren’t that great. Go with a Moderate or Deluxe Resort. And also, this doesn’t include the “Park Hopper” or “Water Parks & More” ticket options. Which really sucks. It really limits you to only a few of the things you can do at Disney.

I always go top-notch- Disney’s Polynesian Resort, along with the Premium or Platinum Package.

Hope this helps! Have fun! It’s the HAPPIEST CELEBRATION ON EARTH!!!

Answer by NILESH S
try this exclusive site for great deals

http://www.eorlando.net/

planning a trip to Florida in June, how do I get the best deal travel, hotel, parks for 4, 1 week?
I don’t want to go to the time share presentations to receive tickets. Just want some ideas so that I am not paying unneccessarily.
Thanks

Answer by richard
go where i go :www.priceline.com

What are the new vacation packages in Christmas?
I want to know some cheap and best vacation packages on Christmas. Please send me some information about packages.

Answer by Joe
My daughter and I spent Christmas in New Orleans one year and had a blast. We stayed at the Bienville House Hotel
320 Decatur Street, New Orleans
The Bienville House has all the charm and elegance of a French Quarter manor. A flagstone courtyard surrounds a crystal blue pool and wrought iron balconies grace many guestrooms.

At this time of the year hotels generally reduce their rates.

Celebration in the Oaks
New Orleans’ premier Christmas event is Celebration in the Oaks. A beautiful light display in the ancient oak trees of City Park. This is a not to be missed event. Only the walking tour is open post-Katrina, but that’s the best part anyway.

Home and Garden tours

One way is to enjoy the Garden District Mansions and the Creole cottages of the French Quarter beautifully decorated for Christmas.

Food

The famous Reveillon Dinners are held throughout the month, with many restaurants all over the city offering some special menus in the tradition of the old New Orleans Creole families.

Chef’s Holiday Cooking Demonstrations
At the Shops at Le Petite Theatre, you can learn to cook some of our favorite Creole Dishes. Get the Schedule. For more information, call (504) 522-5730 Holiday teas for the kids

A great way to enjoy some time with the children is to attend a Teddy Bear tea at one of the great venues in town. With a visit from Santa, music and goodies to eat, it’s fun for all.

Holiday Tours

There a many special Christmas home and garden tours in the French Quarter and Garden District throughout December. Here’s a list of the best of these tours.

Historical characters stroll through the French Quarter all month, until Christmas Day, giving you the opportunity to talk with and hear stories from Louis Armstrong, Papa Noel, 19th century restaurateur Madam Begue, actress and dancer Lola Montez, “Buffalo” Bill Cody, and others. There are various holiday home tours in the Vieux Carre and the Garden District. as well as a free History of New Orleans Stroll led by the National Park Service, that begins daily at 11:30 a.m. Call 504-589-2636 for information. The Chef’s Holiday Cooking Demonstration will be held at the Le Petit Theater from December 1-23, where local chefs share recipes and samples of their specialties.

On Christmas Eve, the Lighting of the Bonfires along the levees on Hwy. 44, is a display of enormous teepees, plantation houses, and riverboats made of timber, all to be lit in a spectacular show. Tours to the sites are available by bus as well on the riverboats the Creole Queen and Cajun Queen. On Christmas Day, Tony Green & Gypsy Jazz and Banu Gibson will hold a Christmas concert at the Orpheum Theater, at 5:30 p.m.

New Year’s Eve Events

December 31 means the Jackson Square New Year’s Eve Celebration, complete with fireworks as the lighted ball falls from the top of the old Jax Brewery. Several midnight riverboat cruises offer a different perspective of the revelry. The children can enjoy their own celebration at the Kid’s New Year’s Eve Party at the Children’s Museum from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Chanukah

At Chanukah on the Avenue the traditional lighting of the Chanukah Menorah takes place at an outdoor ceremony on December 15, at Temple Sinai 6227 St. Charles Avenue at 7 p.m. On December 11. Temple Sinai also has a great Chanukah Holiday Bazaar with Chanuka gifts, supplies and a great Judaica on December 6 from 9am to 1pm. There will be food, fun and games for the kids.

The annual Chanukah Menorah Lighting Ceremony takes place at Spanish Plaza adjacent to the Riverwalk at the foot of Canal Street and the Mississippi River on December 13, starting at 4 p.m. Jewish food, crafts, music and culture displays are all part of the festivities. Call 866-5164 or visit the website. for more information.

“Make Money” with “packages vacation” or “Vacation Packages”

Are vacation packages to Mexico cheaper in the Summer months than during the Winter months?
I’m hoping to travel to Mexico for a vacation this Summer using a “Last Minute” idea on, Redtag.ca, for example.
I’m trying to get an idea on budget and was hoping to find out if people have noticed vacation packages cheaper in the Summer than in the Winter.
Please let me know!

Answer by Vera R
if you want to go, book it now, if you go on a trip in early January it’s the cheapest time of year, summer will be the most expensive.
it’s based on demand- higher demand for a vacation in the summer= higher prices. the first week of January is the cheapest time in the year for flights, so I’d assume that it’s the same for most methods of vacationing. i wouldn’t wait for a ‘Last minute” deal- often times you have to pay extra fees just because your booking last minute.

Preview of Ndsquirrel’s blog at TravelPod. Read the full blog here: www.travelpod.com This blog preview was made by TravelPod using the TripAdvisor™ TripWow slideshow creator. Entry from: Jinshanling/Simatai, China Entry Title: “Real Deal / Great Wall” Entry: “Today I had an early morning start because the sections of the Great Wall, Jinshanling and Simatai, I will be visiting is over 100 km Northeast of Beijing. Things did not start well. First my pick-up time was 6:10 in the hotel lobby but the driver did not show until 6:50…I could have used that extra sleep. Second, the car already had 4 other travels so we had to squeeze 4 in the back. I thought this would be a long ride before the driver said something about a bus. To my relief, the car was only transportation to the coach…Whew! Next, the tour guide started collecting money for the entrance fee to the wall. I thought this was already paid for as part of the package, but since I did not have the voucher stating that fact I paid the fee. I will be emailing my travel agent about this. To be fair, the group was a compilation of many different tours (some provided breakfast, some the entrance fee is paid for and others they are not) so it would be difficult to keep track of all the options. BTW the entrance fee is 40 RMB for Jinshinling and 50 RMB for Simatai. The concept of this tour is that you would start at one section, Jinshanling, and hike the 6 miles along the wall to the other site, Simatai, where the bus …

Where do you think I can post this to sell this travel voucher deal?
Hello hello, so I have a hotel voucher I am not using and so I am offering a great deal for a week long stay at a 3-5 star hotel with across the globe (accommodations for two, book 30 days in advance), where do you think I can post this?

I already posted it on craig’s list, any other ideas where I can sell this at?
also if anyone is interested on here, please email me for more details on this

Answer by Bali Villa Holidays
Try it on EBay. People might get interested you know since people who might need it comes in random or by chance.
