Anyone know any good websites or travel companies to get a good deal to paris?
I’m planning my honeymoon, which is in march of next year, and we’re thinking about paris. I need a good deal on the flights and the room. An all inclusive deal would be great. Anyone have any advice?

While there are package tours to Paris you will do MUCH better on your own.

March is a good time to travel. Airfares are low. (not as low as winter but still reasonable.) I don’t know where you live but I travel to Paris almost every year and live in rural Texas. I have never paid more than $ 560 RT. If you keep good watch on the major travel booking sites like Travelocity and Orbitz starting 3 months before your desired departure date you should be able to snag a decent ticket price.

I suggest the Hotel St. Andre des Artes at 66 rue St. Andre des Artes. Its simple and funky (no elevator, no minibars, no TV) but clean and very friendly. Mainly its cheap and well located. A double will cost just 86 euros for a double with breakfast included.

If you want to upscale the hotel then the The Hotel Left Bank Saint Germain at 9, rue de l’Ancienne Comédie in the 6th arr. is a good choice.(its just around the corner from the first hotel choice) A description with pictures can be found here: http://www.france-hotel-guide.com/h75006left_bank.htm

It will run 130-150 euros or so a night. (still not bad by Paris standards).

Depends where you are flying from, you could also get a cheap flight to London and jump on the London to Paris Eurostar train which is now only 2 hours away, only costs about £50 so might be a good option for your honeymoon as you could spend a weekend also in London.

I have a little travel blog that may help you. Use the Kayak search on the right side of the blog. You will find the cheapest airfare from there.

There is some info on the blog about getting good hotels in Europe. Under my Paris post I also give you a few hotels I know are good.

What’s the deal with non-travel days off in the post season?
I am just curious if anyone has a rock solid reason the MLB decided to have a day off in between two games in the same stadium? It just doesn’t make sense, take out all these extra days you might be able to get the world series over at a reasonable time of year.

Answer by Lefty
I don’t like it either. Seems like the World Series is destined to be played in November just as the Super Bowl is now played in February.

TV revenue!!! They want more prime-time televised playoff games.

Answer by creggz12
They do it so that if both series go 7 games then there is at least 1 game every single day until the series’ are over. If both series went 7 it would have worked out like that but i agree its very dumb.

Does anyone know of any jobs that deal with travel, that make over 2 grand a week?
What does it take to qualify? How do I get started? Travel the world.

Answer by car05161967
Airline pilot

Qualifications: 20/20 eyesight in both eyes, flight training school, ability to multi-task, pilots’ license.

Air Traffic Controller

Qualifications: 20/20 eyesight in both eyes, air traffic controller training school, ability to multi-task

Answer by Neil
Well, a lot of jobs that “deal with travel” don’t necessarily have you doing a lot of travel.

Most jobs that would have you doing a lot of travel, especially “travel the world” instead of the same few places over and over, are in sales and consulting.

Update: Pilots don’t make that much until they have considerable seniority. And they usually fly back and forth between a few places. Controllers don’t travel. Hotel managers don’t travel much.

2 grand a week. That is, you want a job that pays $ 104 000 per annum.

Get a good, solid university education, apply to any advertised job in the airline or travel industry that offers this much money, usually on a Vice Presidential level, Hotel Manager for a VERY upscale hotel, Regional Hotel manager, etc.

You’ll probable get there in a few years. Keep on working, you know your goal.

Tour guide in a region of your specialty. Won’t get you this much money. Not many jobs will pay this much unless you have advanced education and seniority.

A European tour guide sounds like a great idea, but you have to know that you will spend your time arranging things for other people and not enjoying the experience. Work is still work, no matter what occupation.

So whatever you decide to do, plan to travel every chance you have.

1 adult, 2kids, the best deal i’ve found so far has been about $1400. I would like to have the dining plan, but is purchasing the dining plan a benefit? We are staying 4 days & we want to visit every theme park, as well as downtown disney & the water parks. Can any1 shed some light?

I would like to buy 4days & 3nights all-inclusive resort vacation package for $499 per couple, which sounds really good. the only restriction is we have to attend a 90minute presentation for timeshare. the travel agent told me that there’s no obligation to buy. i’m not sure if i should buy this package since i’ve heard alot of negative about similar packages. please help, anyone. will help to hear from people who experience this. thanks!!!!
